From PVSC Community Call (November 23, 2025) – Grounding Practice
Let’s’ come back to our breath, simply allow the breath to breathe us, each breath a
new breath, each moment a new moment.
Breathing in, feeling our feet on the ground, rooted in the earth;
Breathing out, touching the solidity of the Earth that is always here, supporting us,
wherever we are, however we are.
In, feet rooted in the earth
Out, solidity
Breathing in, we acknowledge the land we are residing in,
Breathing out, gratitude to all the animals, plants, minerals, and all the ancestors who
have stewarded the land.
In, acknowledging the land
Out, gratitude
Breathing in, we lengthen our spine from the tailbone slightly upward, vertebrae by
vertebrae, gently, all the way up to the crown of our head…, and continue further up to
reach the sky;
Breathing out, our spine is tall but relaxed, touching and bringing in the spaciousness of
the sky…, our spine and the body becoming a conduit connecting the sky and the earth,
spacious and solid.
In, touching the sky
Out, spaciousness
Breathing in, you may want to bring in an ancestor or someone dear to you into your
heart, into this space;
Breathing out, feeling their presence and support.
In, an ancestor and a dear one in our heart, in this space
Out, presence and support
Breathing in, aware of the suffering caused by the destruction of life from wars and
genocides, through time and space, known and unknown;
Breathing out, we call in our ancestors (spiritual, blood, cultural), our dear ones, and
Mother Earth to support our work for justice, for peace, and liberation.
In, aware of suffering
Out, working for justice, peace, and liberation
Breathing in, we touch the earth deeply
Breathing out, we touch our interbeing, across time and space
In, touching the earth
Out, interbeing
